Teaching Resource 1 (English language version)
This Ffa-la-la resource provides a collection of music and movement workshops designed specifically for non-Welsh speaking practitioners in schools, nurseries and playgroups. The purpose of this resource is to offer a guide on how to develop language through music and movement for children aged between 3-and-5-years-old. The ideas presented in this resource allow early years practitioners to develop children’s understanding and enjoyment of the Welsh language and music, along with helpful tips for their own language use and understanding.
While the lyrics of the songs are written in Welsh, a glossary of words and phonetic spellings are provided, making this recourse an accessible tool for practitioners with a limited or proficient grasp of the Welsh language. This resource supports the use of music within the area of Welsh Language Development and Creative Development, which is part of the Foundation Phase Framework.
This resource contains an A4 lever arch file with lesson plans and ideas, song lyrics and glossary including phonetic spellings along with a CD containing all the tracks. Both vocal and instrumental versions of each song are provided to allow you the freedom to adapt, learn and have fun with the music.
